In this NEP / Solis webinar, installers will learn about a new simplified PV system architecture that provides feedback during installation and commissioning, resulting in confident installers and strong PV system installations. Designers and installers attending this webinar will see where a new combination of simply elegant PV module-level devices paired with the reliably simple Solis PV string inverters provides NEC compliance, module-level monitoring and most importantly, installer confidence in a new PV system architecture that delivers:feedback during install and commissioning, andreliable, trackable performance over time.
The webinar is registered with NABCEP and attendees will gain 1 CE point for attendance. The webinar will focus on NEP / Solis residential PV systems and a new, simplified residential PV system architecture. Attendees will learn more about the latest NEC rapid shutdown requirements and how they are being enforced across the country. A comprehensive review of the new NEP / Solis PV system will be shown and compared to other rapid shutdown and module-level monitoring solutions.
A Q&A session will follow to ensure all questions are answered about this new level of PV system simplicity and elegance, a solution that delivers a satisfying experience for both residential installers and residential PV system customers.
If you can’t make it for the live presentation, you’ll be able to access a recording of the webinar for up to a year by registering, visiting the event page and entering your email address.
Background: NEP, a US-based corporation, has released a new PV module-level rapid shutdown / monitoring device to meet the safety and performance demands of the 2020’s PV industry. Their latest PV module-level rapid shutdown / monitoring receivers are designed for a single module or a pair of modules, provide immediate NEC 690.12 rapid shutdown (upon loss of PLC signal), and seamlessly deliver PV module temperatures and performance data to the SolisCloud all day long. The NEP devices are simple “pass-through” devices with no power supplies or other energy-consuming components, and are constructed of rugged, high-temperature materials resulting in the most reliable module-level devices in the industry today. A voltage signal from each device allows installers to benchmark performance during installation. Upon commissioning, detailed module-level data from each NEP receiver gives confidence to customers that their asset is performing per their expectations.
Solis has added to their broad range of PV string inverter products with a new generation of PV string grid-tie inverters for the North American market. New Solis residential inverters demonstrate the same data-backed reliability numbers our customers have come to expect, along with new capabilities to work with the latest, more-powerful PV modules seen on the market today. Every new generation Solis inverter has a factory-integrated NEP/SunSpec PLC signal transmitter, saving installation time on site. Every new generation Solis inverter has new, dynamic, independent MPPT’s rated at a whopping 14 amps continuous, with a 20-amp short circuit current rating. This higher rating will accommodate the largest mono and bi-facial PV module strings, on as many as four MPPT’s per inverter. Starting in November 2021, installers can look for the latest addition to the North American residential grid tie inverters from Solis, the 11.4 kW PV String residential grid-tie inverter.
Your presenters for this webinar will be Terence Parker, Senior Compliance and Applications Engineer from Solis inverters. Mr. Parker just celebrated his 6-year anniversary with Solis and has been working in the PV industry since 1990. Mr. Parker has extensive experience in both residential and commercial PV system installations and designs to reach customer goals.
Your co-presenter, Fan Wang, Chief Technology Officer from NEP will explain the latest developments at NEP and how their revolutionary module-level products are changing how PV systems are installed and maintained for safety and performance.Tags: commercial, NEP, rapid shutdown, Solis
