Handwritten notes boost solar customer response rates — and robots can write them

Written by: Leonard Parker | solar news | June 29, 2021

Customers are barraged by more messaging in more ways than ever before, from email and text messages to tweets and social media ads. While most communication is now considered noise, handwritten notes consistently cut through the clutter and get noticed, with a response rates 7-21 times greater than printed mail, says Handwrytten, a Phoenix-based technology firm.

The problem with handwritten notes is the time it takes to write them. Handwrytten exists to solve this problem by putting robots in charge of the writing for you.

“People understand the power of the personal note, but nobody has the time to sit down and actually pick up a pen and write one.  This is why we built a platform to automate the process from end to end,” said David Wachs, founder and CEO of Handwrytten.

Sunpro Solar, for example, has utilized these handwritten notes to extend a personal touch after initial appointments with prospects.

“The solar industry is intensely competitive. As we grew, we needed to outsource our hand-written cards and were happy to find a company in Handwrytten that understood the importance of the personal touch and having an additional marketing touchpoint to stay front of mind with potential customers,” said Kristie Moser, Director of Marketing at Sunpro Solar.

Using the Handwrytten service is simple and can be fully automated. Contact lists can be uploaded to send hundreds of notes at once. Thanking customers, remembering birthdays, anniversaries and other special events with a thoughtful and personal message has never been easier. Handwrytten can be integrated with Salesforce, Zapier, Integromat and other services via its API.

Pricing starts at just $3.25 to send one Handwrytten note, with discounts for bulk orders and subscriptions. There are 23 handwriting styles to choose from, or users can upload their own handwriting and signature for a truly personalized style (available with a one-time fee).
