CS Energy and Doosan GridTech have been chosen to design, build and operate a community solar + storage system in New England. This 5.1 MW-PV/2.5 MW hybrid power system would be among the first DC-coupled configurations installed under the Massachusetts SMART and Clean Peak Standard (CPS) program.
CS Energy was named the prime contractor to provide the project’s EPC services. CS Energy has integrated over 75 MWhs of battery storage under the Massachusetts SMART program. CS Energy worked with Doosan engineers on the hybrid power system designed to lower costs, fulfill MA-SMART and CPS requirements, optimize its financial incentives, and deliver clipped energy recapture. The system will be operational in late 2021.
Doosan’s energy management solution (EMS) pairs its on-premise Intelligent Controller platform with its cloud-based performance analysis and power plant operation modules. This system is built on open standard communication interfaces and has proven its solar + storage capabilities in both AC- and DC-coupled configurations.
