The team is seeking an experienced Product Manager with a passion for technology, services, and products. They will collaborate with sales enablement, region and country market leaders, HP channel partners, engineering, and technical marketing to position and expand the Proactive Insights services business. As part of this, they will drive growth strategies, new partnerships, go-to-market plans, digital marketing initiatives, and new routes to market.

The Product Manager will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and be regarded as a subject matter expert.


Create growth strategies for the HP Proactive Insights services offer. Identify and drive new marketing, digital marketing, partnership and route-to-market opportunities. Understand the market and opportunities for endpoint monitoring and management to improve IT and end user Digital Experience. Assess market competition, position HP offers, and determine areas to drive differentiation against competitors. Create clear value proposition for new solutions with Product Marketing and Sale Enablement to effectively message and position offerings. Build strong relationships with Engineering, Regional Markets, and Product Marketing teams to prioritize activities needed to drive business results. Represent Product Planning and Management as a subject matter expert to customers, extended teams, and upper management. Provide leadership and work within cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives. Contribute to team through effective collaboration and mentoring as required. Regularly recommend product/service/solution strategic direction to senior management. Lead projects that involve cross-functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/solutions. Seen by sales team as an expert and regularly is called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong services, software, or hardware product marketing, go-to-market, planning and management experience. Driven, proactive “do-er” with a high sense of urgency. Demonstrated change agent, creative thinker and problem solver. Skilled in building trusted relationships with team members and project stakeholders. A strong communicator with the ability to pull out and summarize information and tailor communication style and content for a variety of audiences. Comfortable and confident presenting to executives. Ability to effectively address and resolve conflict within and across teams. Strong organizational skills and good judgment; must be a team player, positive, flexible, and creative. Experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives with organizational agility.

Education and Experience Required:

College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical. Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years’ experience in product marketing or management at a technology, IT services, software, software as a service (SaaS), or cloud company. ITIL v3 or v4 certification preferred. Excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines. Excellent influencing, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills.
