The team is seeking an experienced Product Manager with a passion for technology, services, and products. The successful candidate will develop the feature roadmap and lead execution required to satisfy business objectives and vision for the digital services platform.
The Product Manager will define requirements and collaborate with Product Managers across services, engineering, technical marketing, sales enablement, and technology partners to deliver new subscription platform features, integrations, and optimizations. The PM will also work with worldwide, region market, and marketing teams to position HP services, assess competition and emerging technologies/vendors, and determine areas to drive differentiation. The PM will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and be regarded as a subject matter expert; especially for subscription services platform architecture, functionality, roadmap and strategy.
Responsibilities:Responsible to create and track offer requirements; including software, hardware, partner, and cloud infrastructure features. Responsible for researching, identifying, and prioritizing the customer experience for new features. Responsible for keeping up to date on the competition, and emerging technology vendors. Work closely with cross-HP teams, including HP IT, finance, Commercial PC Product Managers and Engineering. Work closely with HP partners to understand technology roadmaps and joint opportunities to deliver new customer experiences. Owns ongoing technology recommendations (timing, cost, functional) to Product Management leadership. Owns platform technology roadmap supporting digital service requirements Drives technical specifications/designs to deliver service roadmap, including cross-service integrations Owns engagement with technology partners (both HP and third party) to achieve required outcomes, and to ensure a visionary/business-driven technology roadmap Create clear value proposition for new solutions with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement to effectively message and position offerings. Assess market competition, position HP offers, and determine areas to drive differentiation against competitors. Build strong relationships with Engineering, Regional Markets, and Product Marketing teams to prioritize activities needed to drive end business results. Create clear value proposition for new solutions with Marketing and Sales Enablement teams. Responsible for researching, identifying, and prioritizing the customer experience that support the onboarding of an extended digital services portfolio onto the platform. Recommend service pricing and packaging choices by working with Offer Management, Operations, Product Marketing, and Regional Market leaders. Represent Product Planning and Management as a subject matter expert to customers, extended teams, and upper management. Lead projects that involve cross-functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/solutions.
Knowledge and Skills:Services, software, or hardware product planning and management experience. Driven, proactive do-er with a high sense of urgency. Demonstrated change agent, creative thinker and problem solver. Deep understanding of digital services / subscription business evolution and context A strong communicator with the ability to synthesize and summarize information and tailor communication style and content for a variety of audiences. Skilled in building trusted relationships with team members and project stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and good judgment; must be a team player, positive, flexible, and creative.
Education and Experience Required:College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical. 7+ years experience in product management or marketing at a technology, IT services, software, software as a service (SaaS), or cloud company. Excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines.
