Grants Manager

As Grants Manager at our national headquarters, you'll be at the beginning of an exciting growth pattern for our development team, and for our ministry with nearly a quarter of a century of innovation in human services delivery. You'll take the lead in crafting compelling grant proposals for our programs serving children and families through foster care, specialized education, at-risk family services and residential programs including Freedom Place, the only accredited domestic sex trafficking recovery program in the nation. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSURE AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in the social sciences preferred. Two to four years of grant writing experience required with demonstrated success in persuasive proposals. Proven research and writing skills; and an established record of successful grant and proposal writing are essential to success in this position. Excellent communication, interpersonal, management and computer skills required. Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research. At least three years' work experience in a communications, marketing, or public relations. Must work well in a team setting, and be self-motivated handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Ability to monitor and meet income goals.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, foundation websites and must be able to perform research to identify new funding sources. Must have demonstrated written communication skills to prepare and edit effective proposals, correspondence, and creative and compelling solicitation materials.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Valid Driver's license, appropriate insurance and reliable car. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test. Must submit to pass random drug tests during employment. Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
