We are seeking an experienced Digital Strategist to help advance the ongoing digital transformation at HP Inc. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment and directly influence the Digital Strategy at HP. As a Digital Strategist, you will work directly with leaders across functions and business units to help coordinate, support and accelerate progress of HP’s Digital Transformation Agenda.

Business Context

HP, as part of its ongoing digital transformation, requires innovation and a committed strategy that enables HP to continue its legacy to reinvent itself. The Digital Strategy team focuses on shaping and executing HP’s Digital Strategy and bringing teams together to execute a unified Digital Agenda. In doing so, the Digital Strategy team is driving an enterprise-wide effort to develop digital capabilities required to enable HP’s overall strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with functions and business units to define, prioritize, and sequence major Digital Programs and shape their multi-year Digital Transformation Roadmap

Coordinate and support with functions and business units to identify and address foundational dependencies and synergy opportunities in order to accelerate HP’s Digital Transformation

Plan, support and lead agile execution of large, complex Digital Programs requiring cross-functional collaboration, including identifying requirements to launch and scale programs and defining program success metrics

Own program management support, including development of project guidelines, facilitation of working sessions, objective definition, deliverable completion, and status reporting

Collaborate across businesses, functions, and regions to align enterprise strategy and direction with corporate and divisional agendas, systems, information and support

Track progress of Digital Programs and manage Digital Tracking Tool to maintain live view of program progress and Digital Maturity across the entire enterprise

Evaluate, support and prioritize Digital Programs for HP’s Digital Transformation Agenda using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies

Assess financial impact and develop businesses cases for digital investment opportunities

Requirements

Education/Experience

Typically, 8-12 years total experience. Often 4-7 years post-advanced degree experience leading projects, deals, and company financial improvement initiatives in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or market research. Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.

Knowledge/Skills

Highly skilled in digital tools, technologies, and ways of working

Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate abstract ideas clearly and draft / present client deliverables and recommendations

Ability to independently plan and manage complex projects

Experience in using Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Scaled Agile Framework)

Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and coordinating across multiple teams

Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills

Extensive experience in statistical analysis and financial modelling

Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge across multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies

Superior group facilitation, interviewing, and influence skills

Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting

Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, conflict resolution, and management

Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to client issues

Impact/Scope

Owns the program support and day-to-day program management for the Digital Strategy team

Leverages digital tooling to maintain live enterprise-view of digital progress

Typically partners with SVP-level and above

Manages and supports multiple large, cross-organization consulting assignments

Staffs and manages cross-functional engagement teams within assigned area of responsibility

Drives alignment between enterprise Digital Strategy and functional priorities

Presents business cases and recommendations to senior leadership

Creates new consulting frameworks for delivery and contributes to tools, templates, and intellectual capital

Decision-making implications extend to multiple functions and/or businesses and impact the business directly

Complexity

Designs, supports and manages strategic development across multiple functions and business units

Anticipates emerging trends that may impact the overall business model

Recognized internally and externally as an industry expert for determining financial impact and benefit of Digital Programs
