The team is seeking an experienced Product Manager with a passion for technology and product innovation. This role will collaborate closely with the COE team, R&D, engineering, business management, and marketing teams to bring new products from Plan of Record to introduction, and manage Commercial Dock solutions throughout the lifecycle. The Product Manager will provide cross functional leadership for product innovation initiatives and drive P&L growth on our Commercial Dock portfolio, and apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues. The Product Manager is the subject matter expert on the Docking portfolio, and regularly called upon to lead discussions with the sales, technical teams and with customer and partners.
Be the voice of the customer. Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to ensure that the products and solutions are delivered according to POR marketing objectives, making trade-offs when necessary regarding schedule, scope, cost.
Understand customer and IT Manager experiences that products need to drive, and develop the narrative for new products to clearly articulate key experiences and customer journey
Identifying and driving product claims through internal processes
Act as the SME advisor for Product Marketing teams for collateral toward maintaining HP website presence and creating customer facing marketing content
Lead product training for different audiences; technical training or sales training
Work in partnership with COE and Market teams, NPI team and WW Marketing on Go-to-Market activities and product launch plans
Consistently perform competitive analysis against top industry players and maintain deep understanding of competitive environment
Support business plan growth and manage products/solutions to meet revenue and profitability goals in line with team targets. Investigate new business revenue and margin models that will contribute to this plan.
Contribute to process enhancements to ensure that the overall process can scale with the business.
Set up and manage the Global Series Program models and SKUs, including iCost and BOM analysis
Maintain a high level of interaction with the applicable R&D teams
Education and Experience Required:
College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical
MS or MBA preferred
10 years of experience in product management, technical , marketing, or business management roles
Demonstrated experience working with marketing, sales, partners, and R&D
Proven experience leading, driving and measuring virtual teams towards a common goal
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven ability to empathize with customers and provide creative solutions to pain points
Uses innovative thinking to address complex business issues
Well-developed understanding of trends in the industry, HP strategy and product offerings
Strong influencing and consensus-building skills across organizations and functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including senior management
Strong analytical skills
Working knowledge of internal HP tools such as icost, Pulsar, MyPIM
