Whataburger is further proving why they're the superior fast food chain across Houston and Texas.

CONSIDER THIS: 5 things you should order at Whataburger that are better than the burgers

The past year reshaped how we live, work and play, with the restaurant and hospitality industry being heavily impacted by the pandemic and this year’s crippling winter storms,” Whataburger CEO Ed Nelson said in a statement, per PEOPLE Glenn Garner. "We are so humbled and grateful for the loyalty of our customers during this time."

As if the bonuses weren't enough, Whataburger also gifted its "family members" with Extra Mile bonuses, emergency pay and a doubling of their 401(k) plan matching for 2020, per Garner.

The initiatives certainly are well-earned, as Devadanam reported that despite the pandemic and statewide storm, employees helped set record company performance numbers from March 2020 to March 2021.

Nelson added in a statement that Whataburger wanted to "help ensure that our Family Members and their families were taken care of and thank them for continuing to go the extra mile to serve our guests with great Pride, Care and Love," per Garner.

After all, their family members and guests are the "foundation of our success." We truly love to see it.
